Is it in the setting sun or the swaying breeze that we find our redemption? For those of us who have no god, we must search for our peace in the beauty of simple moments. We are kinder because we seek no forgiveness, rather we act kind in the moment for we know the present is the only guarantee. I chase my solace in the rushing water and whispering tree tops, where the only lies are caused by my own assumptions. Nature makes no promises, so we must make sure our trust is lenient and fickle.
